STACKS (back to project photos)

These stacked pieces were inspired by building a full-scale model for a RIGGA sculpture called the Ghost Ship on the Eastbank Esplanade in 2000. This evolved into a study of masonry concepts which led to the construction of "Daahoud" for the 2002 show Blurred at the Center of Contemporary Art in Seattle. Subsequent pieces included "The House for Phineas Gage" at the University of Oregon, and "Hermes and Aphrodite" for the 2003 Core Sample show. These pieces evoke the body in absentia.
